Traffic is certainly no one favorite as it is time consuming and can totally ruin one’s day. we all hate it when we need to get somewhere especially when you must have told a lie that you’re on your way and will be there in the next five minutes, when you obviously just got out of bed and when you finally hit the road you get stucked for 30minutes or an hour then you realize it’s going to be a bad day. Accidents seem to be high when there is traffic congestion.
Road Constructions– it’s a thing of joy when damaged roads are being repaired, it’s a sign of relief but during the period of constructions can be hell especially when all the vehicles has to take one lane.
Rush Hours– this is a period of time when there are lots of vehicles on the road between the hours of 5:00 am and can remain that way for an hour or more and 4:30 pm of every working day. It’s a good thing everybody wants to own their private cars but this will increase the slowdown of vehicles.
Road Accidents– some of this road accident is caused by motorist who are always in a hurry to get home and commercial drivers who wants to get more passengers and stop where they are not supposed to stop. Road accidents can lead to rubbernecking of drivers and passengers, to get a clearer view some drivers slow down.
Inappropriate changing of lanes– Sometimes you just don’t get to see the cause of some traffic but you wasted your precious time on a traffic you can’t explain the cause. This is one among the so many reasons for ghost traffic. Motorists who change lanes inappropriately will automatically cause other vehicles behind to slow down.
Police check point– they are obviously getting their job done but they contribute to the slowdown we all face on the road.
Bad weather condition– you must have been trying to figure out why there’s always a slow down when it rains or when it’s windy. It could be due to;
• Poor visibility- it gets hazy when it rains and some drivers tend to slow down to avoid accidents which eventually leads to traffic jam and the impatient ones speeds up which leads to accidents.
• Slippery road- the roads get slippery when it rains and can lead to lose of control.
