At night, the street and everything in it seems to be so beautiful and magical compared to the heavy sun of the day.
Cold breeze, loud music and colorful lights, it’s a different world at night, seems like the perfect time to fall in love and having a romantic dinner, and while driving, you don’t need to honk on anyone, no traffic, no harsh words, just you and the calm beautiful city. But there is a beast behind its beauty, lots of dangerous things happens at night.
Accident occurs at all hours, both night and day but night seems to be the most dangerous time
Poor Visibility- Drivers solely depend on the street light, their head lamps and the head lamps of other vehicles, they have less time to respond if an animal is crossing the road or if another vehicle swerve or stop towards them. It is risky to drive at night with faulty head lamps as it is indeed the driver’s eyes.
Road Robbers- those going on a long journey will prefer a night journey due to no traffic on the road, and they don’t get to feel the stress, they just sleep half way the journey but the chances of being robbed are high, some go as far as rapping the females and even kidnapping some.
Drowsy drivers- drowsy driving can occur at any time of the day for various reasons, but most occurs at night because the brain knows you should be on bed not behind the wheels and you’re likely to doze off and might never wake up again or you end up hurting someone else.
Drunk Drivers and pedestrians are more likely to be on the road at night. Nighttime drivers need to be vigilant and be on the look-out for such drivers and pedestrians.
Tip; Limit distractions. Your vision at night will not be as good as it is during the day. This is why you should focus your attention on the road more than you would during the day because your reaction times will also be slower than normal. stay alert, stay alive.
It doesn’t matter whether the road is familiar or not, driving at night is always more dangerous.
